Participation in the EdInn Institute certification for students at the level of Synthesis concerns the certification EdInn R8, aimed at middle school students, mainly of B’–C’ Gymnasium. The goal of the certification is to highlight how well students understand how a robotic or automated system can utilize data, make decisions, and adjust its behavior according to conditions.
At the level Synthesis, students work with the programming language Python and delve into more demanding applications of coding, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Through the workshops, they practice creating more complex programs, using variables, conditions, loops, functions, and data, as well as connecting programming with robotic or digital applications that dynamically respond to different scenarios.
The process covers basic skills such as understanding the relationship between data–analysis–decision–adaptation, organizing more complex logic, utilizing data to improve a system's behavior, and applying basic concepts of artificial intelligence through age-appropriate activities for the students. In this way, the certification is directly linked to the skills they have developed in the workshops and reflects their progress in advanced applications of programming, robotics, and AI.
The examination is conducted through the platform of EdInn Institute and includes knowledge and skills in key STEM categories, such as programming, engineering, electronics, mathematical thinking, and 21st-century skills. Participation in the official examination is optional and serves as an organized recognition of students' progress in the world of educational robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, and technological thinking. For students, it represents a positive rewarding experience, boosting their self-confidence and connecting them with an official certification framework.
